UT Southwestern’s new facility to open in South Dallas

LOCAL TODAY: Reimagine Redbird, a project to develop the 46-year-old mall, is building a second medical precinct in south Dallas, with UT Southwestern being the latest healthcare facility to open a location there.

On Monday, the hospital will be admitting patients in a new 153,000-square-foot facility in the RedBird Mall to meet the need for specialty care in the surrounding community.

It is the largest of the hospital’s six regional medical centers and will include cancer treatment, internal medicine and women’s diagnostics, among others. Neurology and Culinary Medicine will begin later this year. The specialties were selected through community input and research. (READ MORE)
