Russell Glen is thrilled to bring a catalytic redevelopment to North Pasadena. CENTRICO is a 60-acre mall that will be reimagined into an urban, mixed-use development anchored with healthcare, grocery, retail, entertainment, education, and public green space. Initially constructed in the early 1980s, Macro Plaza Mall (formerly Pasadena Town Center) has been an anchor in the north Pasadena community for decades. This redevelopment will generate substantial economic development, create new job opportunities for the community, and address many social/health challenges for the greater Pasadena region.
PASADENA IS THE SECOND-LARGEST CITY IN THE GREATER HOUSTON METRO
HOME OF GALVESTON BAY, NASA'S JOHNSON SPACE CENTER, AND THE PORT OF HOUSTON
LOCATED 12 MILES FROM DOWNTOWN HOUSTON
CITY BOUNDARIES STRETCH FROM THE HOUSTON SHIP CHANNEL TO GALVESTON BAY AND CLEAR LAKE
CENTRICO IS ADJACENT TO PASADENA CITY HALL, CITY LIBRARY, NEW CITY COURTHOUSE, AND POLICE HEADQUARTERS
With our focus on providing much-needed benefits to the community, it is essential that the name of the project relates its connection to the community and respects its culture and heritage. The word “Centrico,” or central in English, seemed a fitting description given the Project’s location amid community-centric uses like city hall, schools, and retail, plus the additional draw to the area from the Project’s proposed 7.1-acre park, healthcare center, grocery, and added retail.
